I opened up my vents too on 2024 Rubicon. The prefilter is taped to the hood facing side of the hood pad and the water goes to the sides like the factory setup does. For extra measure I have a plastic shield over the battery and fuse box.
OP I had a 2022 Willys 2 door and swapped to the Rubicon wheel and tires.
I used a Rubicon Spare Tire Carrier 68474051AC it's taller and lifted the spare off the bumper.
It was purchased off ebay.
It's a 2024. I noticed on the dealers lot a 2024 Willys is the same too since they both use the M210 front axle. There were a couple of 2024 Sports on the lot too and they had the FAD and u-joints.
When the 3.6 came out in 2011 5W-30 was the recommended oil and was changed a couple of years later to 0W-20. I remember on the LX forums that a Chrysler engineer said 5W-30 was the best for the 3.6.
The t-case boot was pretty tight so remove using a thin plastic pry tool on the drivers side corner. There are 4 tabs that sit about a 1/4" from each corner. The auto shifter was easier just pull on the boot in the corner and it will pop up.
I saved myself $218 by just dyeing the thread instead of replacing the 2 boots/shifters. My current console lid has no stitching like the Sports have. I bought a Sahara leather console lid with White stitching for $51. They wanted $230 for the same console lid with Red stitching.
I noticed the 2024 JL's don't offer the Red stitch t-case & auto trans shifter boots.
That being the case I took off my shifter boots and dyed the White stitching with a Red Sharpie.
Now my 2024 Rubicon features Red stitch shifter boots. I did this before with my 2022 Willys and
turned out...
I'm curious what affect does the 2024 airbox, inlet tube and turbo change have on dyno numbers? Although if they netted more hp FCA could tune it down to retain the previous 2.0L hp.
I put them on my '22 Willy 2 door and they did help the wandering at highway speeds. I've ordered the Mopar LCA for my '24 JLUR even though it drives better than the 2dr Willy did.
Imagine that a 11.3:1 compression ratio engine running better on premium. If you have jscan try logging the ignition timing with/without premium. I know the 2.0L turbo advances timing and boost when running premium.
