Looks like I'm in the same place. Dual top ordered January 29 (black hard top, not color matched). Was told I'm KZ ready to ship last week, then yesterday they said my status is JB waiting for optional equipment.

What I don’t understand is if you are given the D1 status, that means they have all the parts to build your Jeep. If that’s the case, what happened to the tops?

sounds like maybe they had a bad batch of tops? Some defect perhaps??

We were all taking some risks by ordering the first production series. It could be that they discovered a quality issue with a lot of hard tops. So first they thought they had all the parts, now they need to wait for new ones. Annoying, but I rather wait now than have a leaking top.

Hmm...I was wondering that also. Maybe they’ve found an issue with the existing top and are now fixing the issue.

I believe it was 02/13. It went by pretty quick imo. I believe the lengthiest of the process would be the shipping.
So you had a build l date after most people with dual tops and yours got through so something is going on I just got off the computer jeep chat and they told me nothing mine has been sitting 20 days and JB......,,,ridiculous!!

So you mean to tell me our Jeeps, our built jeeps are going to sit there until mid-March just to start shipping the tops which means April before it’s even released? And if that’s the case where all these built jeeps sitting apparently not outside?

Great question. If it's affecting all Hard top orders, then where are all these built Jeeps being stored? Outside under a tarp?

It has to be the soft top. I ordered the hard top and it went through rather quick. JB in 4 days. Your build date should be the ETA you see on your POC.

There is no reasoning to this build process. Some people have ordered and have had their Jeeps built and delivered in less than a month. My original order took 8 weeks from order to delivery. This is just a longer process for some of us...unfortunately

If that’s the case, why not ship the soft tops to us?

Yeah it’s odd. The only thing I can think of is costs. I think the logistics of that turns them away of doing so. Having to ship that separately would cost, I would assume, a lot given the size of the box. I mean it’s a trade off, keep your customers happy? Or be more profitable? I think we know which direction they would be going. Lol.
