I have an atlas on order. This DTCM swapping thing I’m being told by Advance Adapters is no longer required. Not sure I believe this. So far it seems everyone has had to swap them.
Ask them if they’ve actually done it themselves in an actual 392. Based on my experience with them, my guess is no.

Shift it. A lot.

A year later mine is still getting a little bit smoother each time I shift it.
I'm having a bear of a time going from 2H in rear to 2L in rear. Every other shift is pretty doable. Sometimes I have to put front in low before I can get rear into low. My buddy says he barely moves and taps the brake to get it to drop in to rear low. Atlas says 5mph, go into nuetral and pull back on lever while tapping the brake.

No love yet but I haven't used it much.

Have you checked to see if you have any DTC's? I have several that don't go away and come back after clearing them. I am trying to figure out if it is just a part of the extreme modifications I made.

I can give a list if you're interested.
I have not. Everything so far is running great. I did notice on my first long run at interstate speeds I saw the transmission temp hit 180. I don't know if that is normal or not. On all other driving, the short heating cycles, the temp hung around 148 to 150.

If you get a chance I'd appreciate it if you took a look.

No problem. I sent the list to my service guy so he can look them up and get back to me. I googled them so I kinda have an idea of what they are.
