this company and this product is a complete rip off!! it should be less then 200$ and with shipping its over 350$ do not get suckered by these jerks, i was told by an employee they can charge what they want because nobody else has one out yet, that is terrible business and i hope none if you use this awful company!! i would rather pay the dealer 125 to fix my speedo over paying these crooks 350$ for a 150$ product. where the hell do they get off charging that much for a programmer that doesnt even have an lcd screen smh .....greedy jerks

I am going to disagree with you here, not because I like spending more money but because this product does more than just allow for programming changes like the Pro-Cal or such. It also competes with the likes of LockPick and such as it can stay connected and bypass the NAV lock out and menu access while driving. The LockPicks can cost around $400 to $500 alone.
So since it covers both areas I do not think the price is out of line. Just my opinion.

But you'll pay Starbucks in Long Island, NY, $4.22 for a Hazelnut Mocha Coconutmilk Macchiato... Oh my.... I know your type...........

And yes, they will charge now, what the traffic will bear for their currently one of a kind offering. In time, when competition is there, they will lower their price. I find no fault in Tazer charging a premium at this time. You don't have to buy... no one is coercing you.

As for LCD screens. Most of these type programmer's do not have an LCD readout.

How do YOU know how much a Starbucks Hazelnut Mocha Coconutmilk Macchiato costs? Let alone that they sell one.

I will watch on the sidelines - this company has never made a programmer for a Jeep prior to the JL at least not that I can find anywhere. There is a reason the reputable Jeep aftermarket programmers aren’t out yet.

Wow, what’s with the anger? They released a product that does a bunch of stuff and you’re mad because it costs more than having one of those things done once by your dealer? If you don’t like the value/cost trade-off don’t buy it, but holy cats Batman, chill out a bit!

Now I do agree with this. I too am waiting to see some of the reviews on here from those that have bought them to see how well the perform and function. Particularly the menu bypass portion while remaining plugged in.

Well, this remains to be seen. I take issue with your off the cuff comment in regard to Tazer. You are like me, clueless in regard to this company. I won't issue, lets say a verdict, regarding Tazer.... their Tazer JL Programmer/Light Show until after the Fat Lady Sings so to speak. 8-)

Oh, and double phooey on this comment you made: "There is a reason the reputable Jeep aftermarket programmers aren’t out yet."

And indeed .... The Tazer offering may not be the pick of the litter when other such programmer's hit the market place.

Z Automotive has been building products that interface with Chrysler canbus for many years. Before the Tazer, they had the Tranzformer which does everything the Tazer does but also adjust transmission parameters for the NAG1 in Chargers and Challengers, but had to be hard wired to a few wires to control the transmission. The Tazer came about as an easier way to get all the functionality of the Tranzformer without the transmission stuff (which it will not do on the 8 speed anyway). Search Tranzformer or Tazer on google and look at the Charger, Challenger, Grand Cherokee, and Durango forums. Also, he has bought a JLUR so the support will be good since he is solving the problems and adding functionality to his own vehicle. I wouldn't be surprised if he can find some way to add functionality to unlock sway bar or engage rear locker in 2wd someday.

Holy crap! Count to 10... Are you done counting? Good! Now, don't buy their product, move on and proceed to your nearest anger management group session!
