Hello JL Crew,
To start off, I have a 2018 2-door JL.

Has anyone seen or have these sway bar links (pic #1)? I purchased this Jeep and to my knowledge, all suspension parts are OEM. I was getting a rattle and found it to be the rubber on these links is wearing and the recommended torque on the bolts is not holding.

I have made two attempts at ordering replacements. The first set were too short and the second set (pic #2) too long. Is there any reason(s) not to use the longer set?

The original links have two female ends. The ones in the second picture and all those I can find online have one bolt built in and one female end.

Any advice or direction is greatly appreciated.

You can use the longer ones, it’s ok if the bar is angled up slightly….

Sure it’s a JL and not a JK? 2018 was a crossover year. The specific model makes a difference.(rubicon, sport, etc) Go to parts.moparonlineparts.com and enter your VIN, then search the parts you want.

Swaybar not being at 90 degrees is not ideal but also not going to make a big difference in performance.

Those are cheap rough country front sway bar links that are currently installed, I would defiantly run the new mopar links you bought that are slightly longer, they will work great but you will need to order the OEM nuts that go on the sway bar link studs.
Also please post a picture of the top of you front spring so we can see if there is a spacer installed.

Thank you for finally getting me the answer of the maker of the current links.

Here are the pics. Hopefully this shows you what to you asked. I took one from the front and back.

Would you agree with, “You can use the longer ones, it’s ok if the bar is angled up slightly”?
