Stop with this nonsense!!!! No it doesn't. I have shown images over and over and over again from the 2019 owners manual. The 2019 owners manual says absolutely nothing about putting the top in sunrider position. It ONLY talks about lowering the top. Period. How hard is this to get??? There are only two references to the soft top in the 2019 manual. Page 43 and 48. The single reference to sunrider position is about putting on the straps. Period, nothing else. This has nothing to do with 2018 vs 2019. The book @Macchiato keeps referencing is NOT the OWNERS MANUAL. The handout that comes separately directly contradicts the OWNERS MANUAL.
Ha. Good one.WARNING!
• Do not drive the vehicle with the rear window up/ removed unless the quarter windows are also removed. Dangerous exhaust gases could enter the vehicle causing harm to the driver and passengers.
No it doesn't. Watched both videos. One is about taking it down, the other putting it up. It shows the sunrider position with windows off because you have to do that to put it down and put it up. The still is just a screenshot of that portion of the video. The instructional video linked to in your instructions www.jeep.com/wranglertop shows the Sunrider position with the windows out. I'm hoping you are correct and Jeep has a new Sunrider procedure for 2018 and 2019 that leaves the windows in, but there's a lot of existing documentation to over come and it's possible that the supplement is the mistake. Hopefully we can get some collaborating information on this.
Take a picture of the front of your book to settle it then. That is NOT the owners manual.Stop with this nonsense!!!! No it doesn't. Exactly. Utter nonsense. However, the rear window in the JL does secure the side windows. If you take off the rear, might just as well take off sides as then they actually might blow out For what it's worth , driven mine at 80 all over with windows in and sunrider position like it says you can.Ha. Good one.
No way that would happen with the sunrider back and windows down.
No, because that’s just not true.Let's just say that for the 2018 they said it's OK to run it with/without windows and for the 2019 they said to run without windows only. Is the argument just what would happen if a warranty claim was filed? Maybe it just took some real-life testing of the top in that position to realize it's not going to hold up to the air pressure.
I'm not gonna argue what the warranty should/shouldn't cover, but I would say that it's not a good idea to run in sunrider with the windows just from personal experience. At least in situations with high speed / windy conditions, you can tell there's too much pressure on the windows to be good for them. Maybe they'll hold up for awhile, but it's just a matter of time.
God you are a complete ass. Here you go! Read it and weep. Also adding the index that shows soft top is only talked about on two pagesTake a picture of the front of your book to settle it then. That is NOT the owners manual.
Which part? When I've gone in sunrider (or even with a few combinations of door windows down) with the soft top windows in, the windows either stretch way out or way in due to the wind. That can't be good in the long run...No, because that’s just not true.
There is no difference in the warnings, cautions, or procedure in the owners manual for 2018 and 2019 in regards to the windows being removed or not.Which part?
