When someone installs the 2 screw offering, do report here in regard to the clearance between the clip/ and the screw and the visor edge itself, in regard to this offering... Looks real tight and may rub/touch.... I have not seen in person but picture I saw did raise my concern. Could just be pic angle ....
I just ordered the two screw, but was concerned about clearance from your post. I looked at mine and took a shot that kinda shows that clearance should not be an issue. If you slid the driver side over as far left on the horizontal shaft as it would go maybe, but there is plenty of room when slid to the right and in the middle of the left/right gap.

Hmmmmm... your pic does not relieve my concern....

After you do the install of the two screw offering, post back here and affirm either way..

I messaged the seller the other day and asked about the clearance.... Crickets.... never got a reply back from him ...... and he has always responded to my questions.. This no reply gives me concern.

Hi,

Worse case trim it down with a cut off wheel and or maybe counter bore that one screw slightly or cut the ear off and have a 1 sided clip again..

Regards,
Jim

The manufacturer should be assuring it fits.... doing changes in his product if it is needed... A buyer pays $29.95 plus $5 in shipping should not have to bastardize an offering to get it to fit/work.

We'll see if this 2 screw offering has rub issues..... Hopefully it will not..

For sure if I had an already broken visor I would want to use / install the 2 screw offering... No break yet, I do believe the singee screw offering will do the deed.... In a few months+- we will hear if indeed these visor clips do the deed lets say.

I installed mine (single screw) today. It took all of ~10 minutes to do both sides.

I can see why the visor breaks. If you fold it down and put just a slight but of pressure on it you will see the area where the visor goes into the plastic framing flex because it is binding from the visor edge contacting that area. I'm guessing a shorter to edge to the visor or a longer connecting arm would have alleviated the issue.

My JLURD is only 7 months old - this is an inexpensive solution to a design issue.

Completely agree with this assessment. If the visor does not rub against the screw, this would be the ultimate solution. Being anchored on both sides has a very big structural advantage over a single anchoring point.
Please let us know if it clears, and is still fully operational.

I have a JLUR on order and I'd like to get the 2 screw offering also, provided there's no rubbing.

Two screw doesn't rub, I installed mine this weekend.

Ah, not sure what I was smoking here: I installed the single screw one, sorry.

A saying "A stitch in time saves nine", comes to mind in regard to buying and install this offering..

Had you purchased the single screw offering that would have given you the protection you want..
The one screw offering really reinforces the visor bracket... for sure the 2 screw offering reinforces it even more but probably the "more" is not at all necessary.

As for eBAY.... I used to buy lots there but lean more toward Amazon purchasing, as I know I am more insulated.... more protected, purchasing through Amazon..

.
I ordered the two hole, mainly because I liked the symmetrical look of it, as opposed to the hook. It's a Christmas present for my wife's JLU, so it'll be after 12/25 before I install them. They do have very fast order processing and shipping. 4 days from time of order to delivery, according to tracking info. That's impressive this close to Christmas.

I did the single screw version, seems to be fine. Had the 2 screw version been available I probably would've done that as I like the symmetry

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Would be nice if they used countersunk flat heads, if indeed there is some contact at that point. Look forward to seeing pics of the 2 hole version installed.

I am thinking the same thing. Although, even with minimal contact they would still be a good fix. Hopefully they don’t contact the visor or the vendor comes up with a solution (countersunk or flattened head screws).
