Mine did the same thing over the weekend. Driver side. Just crumbled without provocation. Normal use.

I just joined this forum due to this issue as it just happened to me as this last week on the passenger side. My Jeep is only 11 months old and made an appointment with the dealer to have them take a look at it. Does anyone know if the replacement parts are better than the original ones?

The Visor design is horrible. My driver side broke within 3 months of ownership and I hardly use it. Mainly just fold them half way to remove top. I contacted dealer and in a week had the part in. It was replaced last weekend.

Now I did take it apart before taking it in, The design is a metal tube surrounded with plastic. At the very tip the metal stops and it is only plastic which creates the retainer to keep it snapped into the mount to swivel. This is the weak point and can guarantee this is what broke on everyone's. I asked the dealer if the one they replaced was a newer version. He said no, it would be part of a recall if it was fixed.

So @JeepCares how many of these need to fail for it to be some type of recall. I can just see on the news someone dies because they freak-out doing 80mph down the road as their visor falls knocks their cell phone out of their hand onto the floorboard and as they reach-down to find cell phone they loose control and crash.

Well add me to the list. My drivers side visor broke today. Just had my rear end replaced for diff lock. Still working on Assist/Uconnect that has never worked. Five times to shop for that and now waiting on parts again. Well here we go again. 2019 JLUR.

Add me to the list. Mine broke in exactly the same way this afternoon. Knowing my local jeep dealership they will make me take it in so they can inspect it for an entire day so they can order the part and make me give my vehicle up for another day so they can install it.

Add another broken visor to the list. I hope this is covered by warranty, less than 3 months off of the lot here. Ok too of that the radio resets every time I use the iPod cord and the rear defrost seems “burnt” if that makes any sense.

My dealer replaced mine under warranty. He should me on the invoice that the current part number is 6 iterations beyond the original! Guess subsequent designs weren't cutting it either. I hope my version is good.
