Stop/Start Issue - Error Code P0507

Sorry for the stupid question, but where do you find any thrown codes? Mine says no stored messages, just service start/stop. I've only had it throw twice since I picked up my Jeep the end of December. And it clears/resets when I turn it off. It goes to the dealer this morning for them to check out. Thanks.

Update: it was a loose wire that would only acted up at long stops! So hopefully everything is good to go now. Thanks everyone :like:

Do you happen to know what wire it was?
Unfortunately I don't. The service manager told me "the ESS had a loose wire". And I didn't think about asking at the time.

So it has been identified that there is a software issue with the 2019 jeeps 2L that is causing my issue. At this time FCA believes mine is the only one experiancing the issue but we all have the same software.

Proper identification is key to not wasting your time with a lot of useless parts replacement and time in the shop.

you need to watch the rpms after you see the error for start stop. when i am at idael and in park. At normal Ideal ~800 rpm the the computer is asking for more RPM's spacificly it wants 1450 but the jeeps is only going to 1150. once the pcm see's this mismatch is when the start/stop warning and CEL will come on.

This issues was identified preproduction in 2017 and a software fix was created for it that went into the 2018's. Apprently that software was not put into the 2019's. They currently are working on testing this code in the 2019 software and should be release shortly to all of us.

Until then if you experiance this issue my suggestion is get the dealer to report it. then clear all the codes. You can then drive your jeep with out issue if you don't sit in park for longer than 3 minutes the issue should not return.

I will let everyone know once I am contacted that they are ready to install the new software on my jeep. Hopefully less than 60 days.

I do want to say thank you to @JeepCares and the services manager at Royal Gate Jeep. Once they got involved to identify this issue they have been great to work with and have done everything they can to keep me informed and limit the impact to me as much as possible.

Any update on this? Mine went into the dealer today. 2019 JLRU with your exact issue. Just checking to see if the software got updated or not yet. Thank you

They have not released the update yet.

Just got a call from the dealer. Claims PCV valve is faulty and of course they have to order it. Pretty sure the PCV is fine and I am going to end up down a new part rabbit hole on a Jeep with 2300 miles on it.

Imagine that the PCV didnā€™t fix the problem. Here we go down the swap a part rabbit hole @southern greenbrier Jeep in Chesapeake

Do you have any information on the software fix that I can hand to my service department when I take it in? I just popped a P0507 code for the first time yesterday as well, I believe it's related to this.

I didnā€™t receive any details. They said every 2.0 will receive the update at there next service that it has been issued as a service bulletin.
