A Sunday would be odd but it’s close to the April 9th date I was given (see post #176) so happy to hear we only have a couple of weeks!
Finally, seems like I've grown gray hair waiting for the color match top. Thank you for the update Anyone know if adding the dual top will slow down order, I read on another post that they have a soft top shortage .

Also, anyone know if adding 2.0 engine will slow down order as well?

I wouldn't worry about options slowing down your order. Parts supply changes all the time. Order what you want and if it takes a few extra weeks deal with it.

I ordered a SG JLUR . Black top and fenders, everything except leather, smokers, 8.4, proximity, and safety group.
I’m anxious, but I doubt I’ll even track it unless it takes an unusual amount of time. Probably just stop by dealer and ask for an update sometime.
I really didn’t need a new vehicle, just wanted to downsize some. I don’t tow like I used to, and a Cummins crew cab Ram isn’t happy making short hops.

Yay!!! I happen to go to the dealership with my son because he wanted to have a look at the new Jeep Rubicons and the salesman showed me my JLUR Sting Gray VIN in the process of being built.

I ordered what I want, but getting something like a Premium Soft Top should not be holding up orders. Trail management system not available....fine. Cargo mats not available yet...OK. The roof of about 50% of the Jeeps that are going to leave the plant....inexcusable. Jeep took so much time and effort to engineer this Wrangler so as to stay pure to its heritage and please their massive consumer base and attract new buyers. Yet after the success of the JK/JKU do you think they would have their supplier network in order for a rollout of this magnitude?

Of course we're all going to wait longer. Doesn't mean they are executing their production well.

If that's how you want to frame it.

I'm simply stating that they cant meet their production needs. Am I happy about it, of course not. Will I wait for my order, absolutely. But dismissing their lack of execution is disingenuous. Some people may have a trade in they need to get rid of or a lease. There are more pieces to this than just " I want my Wrangler now".

No one likes a bitch fest, I get it. People want to blow off some steam about FCA being idiots. Let 'em.

What if your insurance company wants $8,000 a year because your son is turning 16 and you have a Jeep SRT in your household? What if he cant get his license until I trade that vehicle in so I don't get hammered on my insurance. Again...there's more to the story than I want my Wrangler.

Back in 2015 I had reasons as to why I could not wait for a custom order. I wanted a Wrangler but what I wanted exactly was not available. I made compromises and bought one off the lot. Each individuals need for a vehicle in a certain time frame is not FCA's issue.

This time I was able to plan a purchase and get exactly what I want. Do I want it now, YES, is there anything I can do to get it faster? No.

You have the choice to buy off the dealer lot or buy a different vehicle. Does it suck, yes, but you need to do what fits your situation best.

I don't have a problem with blowing off steam and bitching about FCA. i have a problem with how it derails every thread.

But it's not my forum and it's not for me to say what people should and shouldn't post.

Couldn't agree more, but understanding the timeline I had for my order, I don't think its unreasonable to think a soft top should not be holding up an order. I have no need or place to store a hardtop. the house we bought last year is an old lake cottage that had been added on to be almost 3,000 sq/ft, but alas I have a tiny 1 car garage with no place for a hard top hoist.
