Hi People,

Is there any options available to relocate the steering stabilizer on the right hand drive JL Wranglers.

As you can see from the pictures the right hand drive stabilizer is fitted differently. The tie rod end is fine but on the other side it is mounted on a very large bracket that is welded to the Axle.

I want to get it out of the way and not be the lowest point in the front.

I hope someone has some advice or did such a modification on the right hand drive.

Just bumping this thread for advice how to get the steering stablizer out of harms way and mount it higher up, the stock setup is mounted quite low.

I have a right hand drive JLR. I would highly appreciate some wisdom and advice.

Same question here. I know synergy has a bracket can move it higher. But I’m not sure if it’s still working with RHD.

Hey after buying a dual stabilizer and having my tech tell me that it isn’t for RHD, I found myself looking for help on the internet and ended up here. Has anyone tried using a single shock stabilizer?

You can fit the Synergy kit with an aftermarket shock absorber. The smaller the diameter the easier to get all the necessary clearance.
I had to put a thick washer on top of the track rod tube clamp To get clearance on full lock.
jeepey in UK also have a kit which uses a teraflex steering damper but I have to say it didn’t feel as good as stock.

You then have the dilemma of the original foot shape bracket on the front axle. Designed specifically to hit everything possible?

I cut mine off with a carefully made thin cut which allows it to be welded back on should the need ever arise. Like you need a steering issue resolved under warranty.….…
If you can get away with it, leave it on.

I have actually ordered a LHD US spec Mopar original spec steering damper to try. It’s going to be about 3-4 weeks to get it as another item is back ordered. That was from Quadratec.

Hey thanks for the pics. Is this for a RHD JL wrangler? Do you have a link to the part? Thanks

Hi,

Do you have any rubbing issue with the stabiliser?

I got this one https://doubleblackoffroad.com/products/teraflex-steering-stabilizer-relocation-bracket-kit-jk

I used the aev stabiliser from the usa. There was an issue shipping it from aev direct via a redirector to Australia because it is a gas strut (never had an issue from quadratec for shipping any shocks). So it was an expensive exercise.

Anyway, the other issue I had was this kit didn't suit my stabiliser bushings and I had to play around with the bushings to be able to push in the bolt from the kit. I would go with a different stabiliser in the future because of that, or a different kit.

You should ask bill at double black.
