Seeing a lot of stabilizer issues and personally feeling a little "wobble" on the highway, what's a good stabilizer to "stiffen" the steering?

Google "steering stabilizer JLWranglerforum". You'll see a few threads on the subject. The fact it's a 392 has no bearing on what SS you get.

Is the statement that the Fox TS is equivalent to the ATS's middle setting?
And is it a direct replacement, or do I need an adapter bracket?

I am not sure there is a person that has used both to say yes. But saving a few bucks was not a big deal for me. And I think everyone and every Jeep is different so adjusting the firmness is nice.

If you want, it is a direct replacement, or you can flip it to get the SS away from the ground to minimize damage to it. Get the JK version if you want to relocate.

Think twice about spending $100 extra for an adjustable stabilizer. From reading this forum, most of us settle into the middle setting after five minutes of ownership and don't look back.

One things for sure: get a pass-through design.

I like the TeraFlex Falcon Nexus 2.2 since it has adjustable settings. I use the soft setting when off-roading, the medium setting for daily driving, and the firm setting for highway road trip driving.

I would take a step back and make sure your tie rod, drag link, track bar ends are good and tight and confirm your ball joints are in good nick before looking at throwing on a stabilizer.

I think that everyone ends up at a setting and leaves it. But I didn’t end up at the middle. It feels better firmer than middle. But roads I drive are rougher than city roads and highways.

I bought the Fox Non Adj TS for my previous jeep as i was getting wobble after hitting bumps (bump steer feedback) - not death wobble.

Reading the forum everyone made it sound like the OEM stabilizer was garbage and the aftermarket units make the jeep feel like race car level steering stiffness.

After installing the Fox TS stabilizer (which they still haven't fixed their shitty bracket) - I noticed zero difference. No increase in steering effort or 'heaviness'. I will say that on the same roads i was getting bump steer / wobble I wasn't with this stabilizer.

At full lock to lock i'd get this weird noise from the stabilizer too. Not all the time but like a rubber on metal squeak.

I then traded up to the 392 (always wanted one, finally got one) and transferred the TS over to the 392. No difference and same noise.

This was my experience. YMMV

I meant to suggest maybe getting your tires rebalanced. Or even just rotating to see if the feedback you're getting goes away.

Installed Fox ATS and relocated to above the OE tie rod, running into clearance issue. Then bought relocation bracket, running into another clearance issue hitting the beefy diff cover. Adjusted a few times and got it working but only 1/4” before making contact to either drag link or track bar. Really annoying.

My advice, if you plan to run the OE tie rod and drag link for a while, don’t upgrade SS. I’m actually considering to put back the OE SS in factory location and put the Fox ATS on the shelf.
