The past week I’ve been a little busy with the jeep.

I added the stealth light bar from Quadratec, MOPAR factory aux switches, and just about finished up my Motorola XTL5000 install. (Need to swap out the terminal strip for a fuse box)

Antenna mounts I’m using the from Topsy.

The mount I’m using for the W3 HHCH is Bullerpoint’s flange mount, their magnetic mic 20mm ball mount, and a magnetic mic holder.

For the Icom 2730 I’m using the Rugged Ridge Race Radio mount.

There are a lot of options out there. Nothing really beats a proper mobile install.

For the AUX switches, did you have to get creative with the cable bundle in the passenger footwell or is there another method to connect them up these days? When we added ours a few years ago there was barely any cable/room to work with, but has been going strong ever since.

I tucked them behind the kick panel. I was hoping they would be a little longer so I could have tucked them up behind the glove box, but I made it work.

I only have my aux switches controlling two devices at the moment. The Motorola radio and my blue light for the fire department.

The Motorola radio, the radio it self is mounted in the cargo tub and the positive and the ignition sense runs down the passenger side under the trim. There is an harness trough there and those wires and ran in that to behind the kick panel.

The whelen dash light is ran in the same direction as the stealth light bar but the whelen light terminates in the kick panel. I wired that to Aux 2 and used on of the ground studs behind the kick panel.

Good deal man. I did mean to say kick panel and not footwell. I just remember having to contort myself in half to work the 1/4", at most, of slack in the orange wire to the wiring harness. Took a LOT longer than I thought it would.

Looks like this thread sums it up pretty well, the reinsertion and having it 'lock in' was the painful part for our '19.

It took me a lot longer than expected. I watched a few YouTube installation videos and felt pretty confident going into it. By biggest hangup was getting through the grommet. If I had a proper tool for snaking wires that part probably would have went smoother. I ended up using the steel whip from an old CB antenna, it’s not really flexible. Once i made some bends in that I was able to get it through with no issues. Using a little Vaseline definitely helped.
