Hi all,

2021 JLUR, installed the mopar lift myself. I'm 99% sure did everything right.. But I have been observed there're a couple of issues ever since, but I'm not sure if it's pre-existing before I install the lift though. Would like to know what you think.

1. I heard tire skidding when I do a full turn, like turning into a parking lot. I couldn't understand what could cause it, or whether installing a suspension lift would be related to this issue.

2. When push the brake, I sometimes heard a squeaking noise - it doesn't squeak during the brake, just the moment I push the brake. Also I'm a bit skeptical whether this is pre-existing issue.

Any idea/thoughts would be appreciated.

I have three quotes for installing a Mopar lift-kit on my 2022 Wrangler which is on order. All three quotes itemize about $100 for a "computer alignment."

It’s absolutely not necessary. Unless it’s included as part of the lift and you can’t decline it, then put that 100 towards another mod…….

You should get an alignment after installing a lift. The lift changed the alignment of your wheels. If it is not done your tires could wear poorly.

Yes, the only thing that gets "corrected" with an alignment is the toe, but between tire wear and increased consumption of gas, that $100 could be a bargain. Also, they will set the steering wheel straight, which is worth $100 to me.

Straightening your own steering is the easiest thing to do on a Wrangler.
