Soft top issues

Good morning, I have a 2018 JLU with a soft top and the rear section will not stay locked once I unlatch the front. The handle clicks when I pull it but it’s not locking in the up position. So the whole top wants to collapse back. Any ideas or suggestions before I go to the stealership!

When I had my factory top every now and then I would have to slam the rear or the top up and forward to get it to lock into place.

Sounds like the locking mechanism in the Sunrider portion isn't fully engaging. I'd check for anything binding in the linkage or a broken/misaligned latch before heading to the dealer. Sometimes the mechanism will click but the catch doesn't actually seat all the way.
You might also try operating it while putting a little upward pressure on the top to take the load off the latch. If it suddenly catches, that points more toward an alignment issue than a broken part.
