had the JL for a couple weeks now and just had some nice weather to have the top down. I have the premium soft top. However I notice that with it down at high speeds it can flap around a fair bit. It hasn’t happened but seems like I could get a gust of wind under it and the top would fly back up. Has anyone had this happen or have the same concerns? I have not seen a way that you secure it down or anything so maybe I am doing something wrong?

Right underneath the rear seat belt mount on the c pillar of the roll cage. Such a nice little feature compared to the JK.

Be careful. I like to throw the soft top halfway back and I had a feeling the slight flapping at highway speeds would be a problem. Sure enough, 700 miles in and there are a few spots where the metal rubbing has worn through the first layer of the top completely exposing the black top layer. Considering you're supposed to be able to do this, it's ridiculous that I need to worry about holes in my top at >1000 miles.

This may not solve the rubbing issue but a boot would contain the top as a secondary measure. However they way they designed this boot it does not go all the way around the side portion see video.

My soft top doesn't "snap" into place even in the locked position. Best bet is getting some cheap velcro straps from amazon or hardware store. They keep the top firmly planted down with no flapping or movement at all.

I second this. We got some velcro straps from Amazon and loop them around the top when down and it works wonderfully. It only adds about 20 seconds to the process of taking the top down...which is still faster than our previous Wrangler.
