  1. Illinois Rugged Ridge Winch Plate $160

Im in the Quad Cities, whereabouts in Chicago are you located?
  2. Motorcycle versus Wrangler

Each has their own purpose. I love my Harley and my Jeep (and my two other convertibles). I'm not planning on getting rid of any of them anytime soon, if ever. If I could have only one, I'd pick the Jeep as it can do everything. Riding a motorcycle in the rain and cold sucks. Parking the...
  3. Kansas Premium Soft Top (SOLD)

Premium Soft top for sale. It's the one with the tinted windows. We used it for one summer, and now life has changed and we'll leave the hard top on or just go topless. Included is all the plastic pieces, bolts, etc. $900. Located in Kansas, prob not so easy to ship.
  4. Recommendations for First Aid Training

I suggest deciding between basic first aid and tactical first aid. Basic first aid, most people possess knowledge of just by surviving childhood. Tactical classes will teach you about tourniquets and (slightly) advanced hemorrhage control along with some airway basics. There are lots of...
  5. Winch on my toad

Did you ever find a winch plate to work? I'm in the same boat. I've got the Roadmaster base plate already installed and would like to add a winch. I think the JCR winch plate should work, but I'm not 100%.
  6. Soft top vs Hard top regarding MPG?

We get a couple of MPGs better with the hard top installed (painted one) than we do with the soft top (premium version). Also, we've found that the ethanol gas in the midwest gets several MPGs lower than the 'normal' gas.
  7. Who “Carries” While In Their Jeep?

You bring up a good point about the car and homeless issue. The problem is that in order for questions like this to get settled, it takes someone being arrested and somehow getting lucky enough to get their case to the Supreme Court. Not many homeless can (nor are probably willing to) go that...
  8. Colorado 2019 Rubicon Rear Steel Bumper

Where in CO are you located?
  9. Tazer Tail Light Issue

This happened to me alot also. There are a few threads on the Tazer subforum. Long story short, I had to reinstall the normal bulbs, turn the Tazer setting to led, then reinstall the LED bulbs. Sometimes after that I'd still get the error. I switched the taillight bulbs from left to right...
  10. New JL is a POS

My wife's $85K Audi Q7 had to go into the shop a few times, as has my A4. We got a brand new Toyota when we got married...thirteen trips to the dealer later (in less than two months) and it was returned. Point is...all vehicles have some sort of issue sometimes. Air vents and glove boxes seem...
  11. Myfak first aid

Whatever bag you choose, just make sure you know how to use what's in it. Also, make sure your regular passengers know what's in them and how to use it all. I got a couple of pouches off of Ebay that are rip-off velcro from the Molle. They weren't expensive (I chose black to blend in with the...
  12. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I drove 650 miles one way through rain to get a hard top today! We weren’t sure we wanted a hard top when we bought the Jeep but now after having one with the sound kit it’s much better. I do love the way the painted top looks! Also, with a Jtops mesh top as long as you’re going above 50 and...
  13. Firecracker red with red top

We haven't noticed any tinting of the light. There is so much light still coming through with the doors off I don't think it's an issue.
  14. Is this normal?

Sorry for the late reply, I’ve been out of the loop for a couple weeks. I’ve not been able to figure it out yet. I will eventually get different bulbs and try again hoping it’s the actual bulbs I received that are the issue.
  15. Tazer JL 11.07 LAST CALL - LAST CALL !!

I’ve never paid attention to the voltage as it’s never been an issue. I can check when I get home in a few weeks.
  16. Tazer JL 11.07 LAST CALL - LAST CALL !!

Were I the same boat as you. No issues whatsoever with the Original Tazer in our Jeep. We had a led light hiccup but that was the bulbs themselves.
  17. Best Aftermarket Headlights for JL

These are Inspired Engineering. They were very easy to install and work great. They're a huge improvement over the stock halogens.
  18. Is this normal?

Thank you for the input. I think I'm going to have to just change brands of lights and go with DD instead of the Amazon ones.
  19. best antenna replacement

We use this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/13-Antenna-Red-For-Jeep-Wrangler-JK-Unlimited-Rubicon-Sahara-Willys-2-4-Door/302016004328?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649. It’s worked great reception wise and it’s been through a few car washes.
