Aside from my rear window tab constantly popping off when driving, and a loose rear window support, I went to put my top down and one off the sewn in bow supports ripped. The other side followed. Taking her in for a recall and to address my top that is slowly falling apart. Anyone else notice or have the issues?

Which top is that? Premium or standard soft top?

Just took her in for the cruise control recall and they took pictures of the top to send to Jeep/FCA. They don’t have the authority to replace the top and not sure if they can fix it, so I’ll have to wait a little. Meanwhile I’ll avoid high speeds and rain. I’m sure it will leak. Fix or replace whatever. As long and the blame isn’t shifted on me, the seams fell apart way too easy so it must be a defect. I’ll keep everyone posted.

I have a problem with my drivers side rear window popping off as well. It’s not long enough. It stays in place until I try to secure it on the door surround using the plastic lip. No problem with ripping now. I’ll keep an eye out for it though, thanks!

Having the same ripping problem. I have had my top on for two months...had it down only twice. The ripping does not occur when the top is down or when you put it up or take it down but when its under the most stress when its up. Those plastic supports are so sharp the constant tension and vibration just eat through that then fabric.

Going to have to do the same thing and bring this into the dealer see if they can get it fixed. Its just a matter of time before all of mine rip.

It’s been over two months and no answer on whether they’re repairing or replacing it. I had my Jeep Wave oil and rotation last week and they still had no answer. Not very happy about this at all.

I noticed that on my jeep the driver side plastic curved support was placed just under the strap it was cutting into. However on the passenger side where no cutting had ocurred, it was was tucked behind the felt and against the sail material. There is a noticable white stress line where the plastic support is rubbing the sail material but the strap is fully intact. I have since moved my plastic support to match the passenger side.

I also had a chance to stop by the local dealer and a few of them I looked at also had the plastic support in both locations. Based on the design it should be under the felt. I am going to work on a solution to make it not embed into the sail material.

Keep pressing and contact FCA. I am going to do the same.
