Wait , I’m supposed to use them for sunrider also? Oh boy I have some things to learn
Yep, they ensure no parachutes in sunrider or all the way down.

Those can be snapped right inside the back of your soft top so you can roll your window up and have those little stretchy straps hold it in place. Note: it will scratch if there is any dust on the window.

Here is an image of a JK with it rolled up.

Oh I’ve just always felt that whatever the rear windows are made of , it wouldn’t be good to bend....especially rolling up ...

Pretty sure that is only for the JK, I don't think our rear would roll. I read that the snaps were to secure the windshield down but I could be wrong.

I looked at that back window again, if I rolled it i think the plastic see thru part would get creases and what about the sides of the window that go into the grooves to lock in ..they would probably get bent out of shape .

The straps are for JKs. Some dealers are putting them in with JLs but they really don’t work. The JL sunrider will stay put on its own. You can’t roll the rear window enough to use the straps. Plus, as mentioned earlier, they will scratch the vinyl window.
To keep the top from flapping when all the way down:
1. Engage the locks on both sides.
2. Use a set of bungee or ratchet straps and tie the the top down.

Those snaps are for rolling the window on the JL. Otherwise they wouldn’t have put the
“Other half” of the snaps right inside the top. The rear window is nearly the same as the JK. BUT - i won’t roll mine.

The Velcro straps and snaps are from the factory, not from dealer - they are for the JL. Was in the monster box in the back of the JL straight from the factory.

I agree with you on the flexy/snaps / straps probably do not work with he premium soft top. Not planning on trying, BUT there are places to snap in those flexy straps under the premium top of you want to try.

You don’t need a bungee if you use the supplied velcro straps.

I also used the Velcro straps before a trip yesterday. Was 50-70 MPH most of the way and they helped considerably with the soft top bouncing. I consider this solved for me. Thanks!

Where did you install them? I know where they go when it is in sun rider mode but not when all the way down.

I have also noticed this, too... The soft top seems to bounce up and down quite a bit in the wind. With the doors off (and no side mirrors), it definitely makes it tough to see things behind you... I'll try the Velcro straps, too... Hopefully, that'll help!

JL Rubicon on order
For the top bouncing, have you tried disconnecting it from the rails so it sits more like a JK soft top? See pic. My JL is still on order so I am curious about this also.

Supposedly it is quick and easy to disconnect and reconnect.
