I live in the middle of Kansas and we’ve had 30 plus mph crosswinds and gusts that are up to 50 and 60 mph. Is it normal for the premium soft top to have one side or both sides of the soft top to pop out of the gutters at that kind of wind when it’s completely closed? I’m assuming that’s normal or should there be more tension on the top when it’s closed?

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
It's normal. My rear window did that during some 30-45mph with 60mph gusts.

From one Kansan to another, totally normal! I've been bugging out on mine as well the last week.

Just wait until your front fender liner blows into a tire. It makes a heck of a noise! (I-70 somewhere in the middle of Kansas)

I did a lot of work last year in Kansas and had my Jeep out there when I first bought it. It was normal the entire time I was there with it.

Ok cool, I’ve never owned any kind of convertible/ soft top before so I just wasn’t 100% if that was normal. I did figure that was one of the quirks of soft top ownership. Thank you guys!

I'm gonna also say its normal, though I think Jeep/Bestop should have added something more than a tiny square of Velcro to keep the top from blowing out. My 2-door top does it ALL. THE. TIME.

This is good to know as the wind in Kansas lately has been stupid high. Sitting at a traffic light feels like someone is shaking the entire Jeep. On the other hand, automatic lane changes into the ditch are effortless.

I am about to transition from hard top to soft top for the summer for the first time. Might be helpful to double check top fit before heading out each day. Thanks for the heads up on wind and soft tops!

This is normal to see in regard to a soft top and also in regard to a JL or JT with a Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop.
