I run a cheap snorkel I purchased from Amazon $109. They cost a little more now. There's no way I was going to chop a permanent hole in my hood. (To each their own) This style snorkel can easily be removed and go right back to stock. It comes with both low profile and raised attachments.

How is the fit and finish on the Amazon knock off? Body lines match up ok? Heard one person say theirs got warped from heat…

1st photo: This piece could have lined up a little better. It's not noticeable unless you eyeball it closely. 2nd photo: Some people said this piece was sagging in the middle from heat. Mine was doing ok but it seemed susceptible to this so I added the extra spacer in the center. There was a discussion on this and a gentleman was making a spacer for these on his 3D printer.

I installed this as a means of cooler air. The difference was only about 2 or 3 degrees. It was very inexpensive when I bought it. ($109) I noticed they have more than doubled in price. The kit overall is ok. The alignment was slightly off on the low profile snorkel. The plastic on the long tube is thin. They are known to sag in the center as heat builds under the hood. I installed the high rise extension one time. It seemed unstable to me. I thought for sure it was going to blow away on the interstate but it held on.
I went back to the low profile snorkel. I have no intentions of going into water that deep. I don't get any water in the air box unless I forget and spray the hose at it when I'm washing my jeep. There is a drain line & valve just in case.

How much space is there between the snorkel and the battery? I have some aux switches and the box for the aux switches sits right over the battery.

Not much, it's pretty tight. Off the top of head and don't hold me to this......maybe 1/2 - 3/4 inch.

I can get a closer measurement tomorrow for ya.
