Ok new to Skytop and have some questions about care.

1. How do you wash your jeep? Skytop? Planning to not use car wash. Sprayer or foaming brush to make it easier. Suggestions?
2. Does the skytop need to be treated to help with sun damage? What do you use?
3. Do you need to grease tracks and parts? What to use and how often?

Any input appreciated. Thanks!

1. I hand wash the Jeep once a month. I clean the SOT every 6 months with 303 convertible top cleaner and a horse hair brush.
2. After the top is completely dry I use Bestop twill protectant.
3. I clean the tracks at the same time and regrease with white lithium grease.

In between cleanings I just rinse off the top with water.

After three years the top still looks new and I have had no issues with it.

I agree. If you are a forum junkie you are just waiting on the next post anyway and there may be some better info on the question asked today than when it was asked in the past. Forums are a dying bread, don't kill them quicker by running people off.

Man that is great information. I’ve seen WD soray as well what’s your thoughts on that?
Are you talking about WD-40 dry lube for the tracks? If so, I haven’t used it, but after reading the description it should work. I used white grease only because it was what was the manufacturer used.

I just don 't look at mine. I am afraid if I look, I will see the damage that all the low hanging branches have done when offroading.

How tough are these anyway? I am afraid that I will tear mine and when it's open, it may pull the whole thing off.

Same here, and I haven’t regreased the tracks. Almost three years and it looks new.

In the middle of winter I really want to?. Everything I do other than the Bestop twill protectant is probably overkill. It basically repels dust and bird poop, stuff is amazing.

Be sure to keep it stock height so you dont push it further towards the sun cause those rays really take a toll on the top.
