Thought I would let the other Sky One Touch roof owners know that I took my Wrangler in last week to have them look at the windshield area for wind noise on the passenger side. I got a call from the service advisor 30 minutes after dropping off and the guy advised me that FCA had flagged my VIN for the very issue that I had complained about. He said the their tech was on the phone with the engineers and they had given the tech a list of 23 things to try to reduce the noise. I haven't gotten the vehicle back, but I post here when I get the lowdown on the solution. My build date was 2/19.

I have a sky one touch, and haven't noticed any more wind noise than usual. Being its a soft retractable top, there is going to be some. My build date was 1/19.

I fully expected some wind noise as this is my second Wrangler, but the fact that there was more noise on one side indicated that there might be an issue, which there is.

I spoke with the tech yesterday and the noise was determined to be from the top seal. Evidently there have been issues with the placement of the seal. He is waiting on the final word from FCA but it appears that it is solved, except he says that it is not a very aesthetic fix. I have yet to see it.

Glad to hear they found the issue, sorry to hear it might not look too hot. I have the sky touch and so far, knock on wood, no issues. Like you I expect some road noise, just as I would if I had the hard top, but I don't feel the general road noise is all that bad. Good luck with the repair!

It is hard to imagine they could not replace something more fundamental to avoid a blemished solution. Please post pictures of the "fix".

Here's a picture of the fix. As you can see, it's barely noticeable. Definitely made a difference in the noise on the passenger side. Now the normal wind noise is evenly distributed from left to right.

they wouldn't just replace the whole thing for it to be perfect given it was a factory error? you did spent over 50k on the car...

I have the same issue. Where is that fix? Canā€™t make out what they did?

It looks like a strip of velcro. It probably just breaks up the air circulation causing a reduction in wind noise. It looks like it would lead to a leak problem. They should have replaced the whole seal instead of that little temporary patch.

Here is my experience with a brand new one. At higher speeds of 75mph plus the top seems to lift on the passenger side. Then I was also able to notice the same on the drivers rear side. Had cross winds today. Seems that turbulence behind trucks caused this go be more noticeable. Almost like there isnā€™t enough tension holding the top down. Below 65mph, no issues.
Did you notice anything like this?

What did they use on this? I have a 2021 and it is so loud on both sides you can not talk to the passenger when driving down the interstate. Depending on the crosswind it will sometimes reach 90 Dbā€™s . The dealer agrees with me that it is too loud but can not find anything to help with it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I did install the Sky One-Touch Hothead Headliner. which did cut down wind noise. I live in Kansas and we have a lot of wind (few trees.) After installing the headliner I have had less lift from crosswinds. I am guessing a side benefit headliner's general noise reduction through the top might be the added weight to the top also reducing crosswind noise.
