I'm very glad I have an SGW Extension Cable.
Physically disconnecting my JL Tazer before a dealer service is so much easier with it installed than not.
But you know what would even be cooler--if doable, if someone developed a "Y" cable with a toggle switch such that the factory cables would plug into the "vertical portion of the "Y" and the angled portion of the "Y" would plug into both the JL Tazer and SGW Gateway.
A mutually exclusive toggle switch in the vertical portion of the "Y," just before it diverges, could then control where the factory cable signals end up: at the JL Tazer or the SGW Gateway: always exactly at one of these two.
This way, unmarry the JL Tazer, flip the toggle and be done. Plug in the JL Tazer once in your ownership. Never futz with getting those connectors free--much as the existing extension cable makes accessing them loads easier than without the extension cable.
Sure, that toggle switch would have to independently reroute, what, about 20 independent wires....but it's doable.
My $0.02.
