Rear Camera Optical Cable Extension (add length)

Anyone here managed to find an optical extension cable for the rear camera? (JL models)

Not a longer one from the tailgate plug-in to the camera, but one to just add length. Maybe 3 feet?
Plug one end into the factory tailgate connector and on the other end, plug the factory cable into it.

Want to be able to unplug the camera without getting into the tailgate space.

Any help appreciated.

These guys will build you whatever length with whatever ends you need. When I added the Motobilt tire carrier I chose to buy an extension cable.

Asking because there are so many different colors with ever so slightly different connectors based on color.

I have a 2023 with the OEM front trail cam in addition to the rear back up cam. My connector is black and that is a screenshot of my order form. I sent pics to Pasternak tech support of my camera and cable connectors and they told me what to order. Sorry, I don‘t know what variations there may be from year to year, with or without front cam etc.

Depends on what connector is on the existing, they start here I forget which connector they use back there.

So, they are the White Farka Plugs. I need a chord with a male and female, to make an extension chord. Man, the colors (styles) that are available are crazy.
Looks like I can get a premade one off of Amazon, though I will have to "deal" with the length(s) that are available. $16 ot $50, depending on length and supplier (no free shipping).

Did a little more digging and discovered that the 2021 Rubicon rear camera is a Unicorn.
Uses plastic tabs for mounting, instead of the typical 3 screws.
Farka connection is a type A (white), while the typical connectors are type B (black).
Oh the joys!

So, another update.

They sell extension cables with Farka “Z” ends. Seems like a universal fitting the fits all the Farka ends.
Bought a 10’ one. Plugged it into my 2021 camera cable and it works fine.

Thinking the “Z” fitting might work several different years. Might make it easier to use those carriers needing a bit more length.
