Every time I go into 4-low the "Service 4wd system" light comes on. And I am not sure my lockers are working either. And my 2-wd 4-hi, 4-lo indicator light stops working after I go into 4-lo as well. The "swar bar disconnect not available" also comes on. Any idea what the issue(s) could be?
Thanks,

So... I had same issue with “serv 4wd” light that came on just on my way home. First time since purchasing my jeep last summer that I drove with 4wd since we just got hit with a bunch of snow in Illinois. I checked the fuses like previous posters suggested in other threads... and I found at least 15!!!!(unbelievable!) were loose. All of the giant ones for “hi” (assuming my for the 4wd but I don’t know for sure) were all incredibly loose. I pushed every one of them in that I found loose and properly seated them. I started my truck again and the light is off after shifting to 4wd. I’m hoping this was my fix, but almost too easy to be true. Especially when I bought my truck brand new— a 2020 rubicon jlu.... how can that many fuses be that loose at same time unless it is due to some lazy turd at the factory not giving a crap when putting it together??!! To me, that is incredibly unacceptable and would be nice if jeep would improve their quality inspections... or discipline when they find an employee isn’t doing the checks they should be.. or the work they should be!! A $60k truck should have all the fuses seated properly from factory. In any event, for those who have read this long- thank u! And try your fuses first!

Well done. I did that trying to resolve the steering problem I had. Same colour as your Rubi.

In the image I am in 4-lo. The service 4wd and the left indicator doesn't show that I am in 4-lo. I will check my fuses for sure, but if anyone is having this issue I would like to understand when it happens and if you have a fix,

Can't offer any solution however I'll add that the SERV 4WD light comes on sporadically on my 2020 Willys jlu. Service dept can't find the cause. Going to try another service department. Fuses are well seated.

For your safety verify if your 4wd is working. I drove with 8 inches of snow on road not realizing it wasn't working. The problem was a faulty front actuator, also verify you can hear the motor in the transfer case. good luck.

If “serv 4WD” is lit, you are not in four wheel drive.

Good morning!

I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you've been experiencing lately. If either of you would like additional support when you visit your preferred Jeep dealer to get this addressed, just send our @JeepCares team a private message. We'd be happy to investigate further. Thanks!

2021 Jeep JLU Rubicon 4XE
Hello everyone,
I have a brand new 2021 Jeep JLU Rubicon 4XE with 2900 miles on it. I got the Service 4WD System light and message Sunday night 6/6/21. I looked up and saw what everyone was saying and checked the fuses first. They were loose, (a lot of them about 90%), I pushed the all in and nothing same thing was happening. Took it to dealer first thing Monday morning6/7/21. When I got to the dealer they plugged in the computer and found two codes. They called me Tuesday 6/8/21 and told me that it was the axle locker actuator. They also told me that the part needed to be ordered and that the vehicle could not be driven, and to top it all off, the part is on back order till mid July. I immediately called Jeep Customer Care to see what was going on. I spoke to someone there and told them the whole story and they said that they would open a claim an escalate it and I would receive a call the next day. Well Wednesday 6/9/21 of course I received no phone call. So I called them back on Thursday 9/10/21 and they tell me that the person I was speaking to never escalated it or did it right anyway, and that she was going to do it now, and I should hear from someone in 24 hours. So now I am waiting to see if I can a call tomorrow.
Not real happy at this point with Jeep. I have a Kayak trip in a week which I need my Jeep for, a Jeep Invasion in Wildwood I already bought tickets for, not to mention it summer and the best time to ride with your top down. I have had three Jeeps, a 2012 JKU ,2018 JLU, and this one. Never had anything happen like this before. Sad day when a brand new Jeep with less then 3000 miles can not be used.

Sorry to hear of your issue and dont be surprised if the next actuator doesn't last or is defective it took three for one to last more than 2 months with the exception of original dont know how long the last one lasted soon as I had no lights on dash I traded out of it. BTW it was my front actuator that was bad good luck. I hope your result is better than mine was!

Sorry for taking so long to post a follow-up. After dropping my Jeep off on June 7th and starting a case file with Jeep care. I finally got my Jeep back on July 12th. The only thing Jeep care did for me was call me every week and tell me they are still waiting on the part. Every time I asked them if they have search the country, or why can't one be pulled from the line, they told me don't worry we are working on it but that it doesn't work that way. They have to wait for their supplier. But once everything is fixed and you have the Jeep back, we will take care of you and make this right.
Well I have my Jeep back and I am still waiting for them to make it right. I had to put a hitch on my wife's car just so that our second trip didn't get canceled like the first one did. So there was 550 out of pocket. Then there was the Jeep invasion tickets I bought that I could not enjoy. Not to mention the gas I spent on the rental vs my hybrid Jeep and the fact I just didn't have my Jeep to use as intended and able to enjoy the top down on a ride to the beach where we have a place and go every weekend.
Then they sent me a survey to fill out from Jeep care asking me what I thought about the rep they appointed and what I thought about how they helped and I was treated the whole time. I told them everything from beginning to end how I felt and it was not a good review at all. I wrote down everything. Every date, time and person I talked to and what was said and what was being done, (or should I say what was not being done).
Now I understand that parts break and things happen. But for it to take over a month for a part is just ridiculous. Jeep needs to take better care of the people that have Jeeps right now, and not the ones they are trying to sell to. If they know they have a problem they should be telling people who are ordering new ones that it is going to be a little longer then normal and fix the ones out there first.
But I have her back now and she is running good so far. Hopefully no one else has to go though this. We will see what happens but I am not hold my breath.

They fixed your Jeep. That’s all anyone should expect.
