Playing with the builder for a new order and it seems there is no choice anymore for transfer case, 2 door sport to 4 door Moab, seems all come with full time awd selectrac (still 4:1 on the Rubi's)?

Looking at the Canadian site, comparing models, it's stating that every trim level is coming with that too.

When did this change, or is it a glitch? I have a Rubicon on order and don't mind if it comes with the full time 4x4 option, but I didn't choose it that way.

Beats me, Jeep is always all over the place with this. There never seems to be any rhyme or reason to which transfer cases they put into what.

They're not even consistent about which Jeeps get a FAD and which ones don't... some have a FAD but no 4wd-auto mode, some don't have a FAD but do have 4wd-auto mode... I don't understand any of it.

But I will say this: I do rather enjoy having the 4wd-auto mode in mine. I use it a lot in the rain.

Not sure that I recall seeing a CHOICE on xfer case for any Jeeps in the last few years that I've been doing it.... variations per trim yes, but not something that you choose. I could very well be mistaken but just thinking of 2022-2026 model year

I think it should be standard, as long as they make it as reliable as possible. My '25 Willys doesn't have FAD (preferred), has CV joints (sacrilegious but also preferred), no 4WD auto (would like to have)...

Do you have the 35” tire package?

I have a 2023 High Tide with the XTREME RECON package and it has selec trac (2H, 4auto, 4full time, and 4L) and I usually drive in the 2H mode but on slick roads and/or ice and/or snow I use the 4auto and it is great! This entire system is the best I have ever had for mastering every potential obstacle or situation. Just saying.

Here in Minnesota the wife just puts in full time 4wd for the entire winter. Works amazing. Between that and the LSD it seems unstoppable.

4-Auto being the ONLY transfer case would be something that makes me happy I got a 2025 while there were some left. I HATE the clutch-driven cases that Stellantis stupidly engineered to even use clutching while in low range. Do a google search for "Ram transfer case overheated" or "Wrangler transfer case overheated" and you'll see why. The last one I had didn't even survive a 30 second attempt to pull somebody out of the mud.

??? I’m confused 🤔 Isn’t the 4 auto case the case that has the clutches?

Yeah. What's the confusing part? That I'm glad I got a '25 before they made that change for '26 to 4-Auto only (assuming they did, which seems to still be questionable)?

Now it makes sense. I thought you said you were happy that 4A was the only option for 2026 and then complained about the clutches.

If you insert a period behind the word “happy”, it entirely changes the meaning. My mistake.

If only inserting a period were that easy, I would have had a much more fun childhood. 😁🤣

Interesting. My 22 High Tide XR has the party time system. It does seem Jeep just mixes and matches them sometimes.
