Yeah it's a "package" with those leather seats, but that "package" is an option and not tied to other major packages like the recon package.
You can get the leather seats and get the heated seats without the recon or X package

Sorry, I've had the opposite experience.
Connect up your JSCAN and watch the clutch application - they are basically locked in with the low range.

Plus - this is for my wife - she's got a handicap, birth defect, she's NOT ABLE to shift the transfer case constantly.
I understand that it's supposed to be "locked" when in low range. But that's my very point....it isn't. There are still clutches. And clutches do slip. Ram 1500 and Rubicon 392 owners have both complained about this issue; the transfer case overheats quickly and then you've got NO four wheel drive. And in my case, it took less than 30 seconds to get there.

I would much rather have a chain driven case that I know isn't going to fail in the middle of a winter storm. If it's treacherous out, there is no need for "constant" shifting. Put it in 4-high and roll. When the pavement is dry again, whether it be 3 hours or 3 days, shift back to 2-high. Easy peasy.

Having said that, you have a very good reason to buy exactly what your wife wants, so by all means that's exactly what you should do.

So you are saying that every clutch pack in your automatic slips?
Who knows what they did or how they were using them - perhaps in 4HA, or changed to a different designer fluid, whatever

RAMs are not apples-to apples with the JL, so toss that. 392 transfer case issues – wasn't that about too much power/torque hitting it? We don't see the same issues with the 3.6L/2.0T/4xe do we? Maybe I missed it.

I've been told by a guy who owns one of the recon Wranglers that the bump stop mounts are taller, so taking away the lift means it would be riding down on the stops unless you chopped and fabricated.
There's the tire size, lift, axle ratio
Bill,
This was probably already mentioned but just an fyi. Metalcloak makes adjustable bumpstops. You can make adjustments to them without removing the coilsprings also. It's tight but I've done it several times. I don't know if your top joust bumpstops will need to be longer. Mine did not, I just added to the bottom.

This is what Zach said on the Gladiator side of things -

>> It's closer to 1-1.5" of lift. And the front bump stop towers are longer so you can't lower it without cutting and fabricating new towers or it will ride on the bumpstops. Our 2022 started or as an xr before they started calling it the extreme 35" tire package. If she doesn't want the extra height I wouldn't get the package. If you drop to 33s it will still be 1-1.5" taller than the current one.<<
