Old8tora, I read your comment and I am reminded of the Jaguar owners in the 70s that had a tale of work about their transmissions. I agree with everything you said.You are not paranoid at all . You have been reading about issues posted by real owners . You ought to consider what you have read , because it's your money . Knowledge is good .
Your friends are wrong to call you crazy to consider buying a Jeep ; they likely do not know anything about Jeeps . Jeeps are good .
I am a realistic Jeep loyalist of many years , but some of these people trying to urge you to buy a Jeep are apologists for unacceptable poor quality . Because they have spent their money , they then urge you to spend your money also . Not so . Don't listen to salesmen or other Jeep owners telling you to spend spend spend your money on a new Jeep . It's your money , not theirs . Your money is yours to decide .
That said , if you are really into Jeeps , then decide for yourself . Jeeps are fun .
@LLRubylady, you have every right to be concerned. When one starts spending $50K, there's a level of quality to be met.
