I took my hands off the wheel driving 75 in mine. It didn't wander anywhere. Test drive it on the highway before you buy it. This is a problem, but not with every vehicle, not by a long shot. I've driven 3 (including mine) and none had the wandering issue.
I'm not sure about the OPs highways, but at least on ours up here the outer lanes are slightly graded for water run off. I need some correction in opposite directions depending on the lane I'm in. It's of no fault of the vehicle (it's solid on a level surface) but may be worth considering depending on how the highways are constructed.

You can get on any car model enthusiast’s website and find a problem with such model. I have owned over 50 vehicles in the past 15 years. Every single car had at least a single identified reoccurring issue that would come up on the forums. The problem is, you can not quantify the data. One person reports something and all of a sudden, there are ten pages on a thread of people saying, “yeah, I think mine does that too.” Car forums are a curse and a reward for dealers and manufacturers.

Are there some isolated issues, probably, did that stop me from ordering a JL, NO. Drive it, enjoy it, that is all there is to it.

Hi everyone,
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but has anyone else been hesitant to get the JL based on the issues we've been reading about?
My friends have told me i am crazy to even consider buying a jeep.
I figure the majority aren't having issues, and they've sold a lot of wranglers.
You are not paranoid at all . You have been reading about issues posted by real owners . You ought to consider what you have read , because it's your money . Knowledge is good .

Your friends are wrong to call you crazy to consider buying a Jeep ; they likely do not know anything about Jeeps . Jeeps are good .

I am a realistic Jeep loyalist of many years , but some of these people trying to urge you to buy a Jeep are apologists for unacceptable poor quality . Because they have spent their money , they then urge you to spend your money also . Not so . Don't listen to salesmen or other Jeep owners telling you to spend spend spend your money on a new Jeep . It's your money , not theirs . Your money is yours to decide .

That said , if you are really into Jeeps , then decide for yourself . Jeeps are fun .

I have a JLU Rubicon built on 7/18 and a JLU Sport built on 5/18. Neither has had a single issue.

However, my niece’s JLU was made in March 2018 and did have the steering issue.

Well I’ll keep my fingers crossed because i bit the bullet already. Mine is on order so I’ll have a Sept build date I assume unless it’s delayed. I would think FCA has paid some attention. A few people have received new Jeeps.

Yes very true. I have never participated in an enthusiast forum before. You are right that most people write when there’s something to vent about. I’ve been lucky though in all the new vehicles I’ve purchased I haven’t any issues.
