I like those made I’ll do the same thing.I have the Mopar Side Steps, they bolt in the same places as the rock rails, no need to touch the body mount bolts. I purchased them from the dealer and got them installed by the dealer. It was on my Jeep invoice, that way it’s covered under my Jeep warranty.

These are what I have as well, I just needed the step so my daughter could get in the back seat and I liked the look of them. They are NOT sturdy enough to take any sort of impact though.I have the Mopar Side Steps, they bolt in the same places as the rock rails, no need to touch the body mount bolts. I’m looking to add these to mine to make it easier for the kids to step up, and I’m wondering if they also provide some additional protection from rocks / debris thrown by the front tires? I’m also considering adding the standard side steps that come with the Sahara (wider and no gap by the front fender), but I prefer the look of these. Here’s some pictures, it does protect a bit (enough for me)... I would say that they protect as much as the factory ones that I had on my JKU Sahara. The nicest thing about them is that it is much easier to get in!I’m wondering if they also provide some additional protection from rocks / debris thrown by the front tires?
