During my 2 month Hella stint, I ordered and installed the TAC 3" tubes.
Honestly, I chose them because of the excellent reviews and fair price (I am ALL ABOUT value) and as I knew I was selling my Hella after only 2 months. But, when they came I was VERY impressed with the quality for the price and would have had no issues with running them for years.
Now that Hydro Hazel dropped, I was in the market again. I, of course, looked at the same brand, due to being impressed by the first set.
This time I was wanting a little larger profile, so I chose the 4.25" oval TAC.
They were $20 more @ $169 delivered. Same 5 yr warranty and free return shipping if I didn't like them for some reason.
I installed them this afternoon. Took about an hour. 40 minutes for the first side, 20 for the other side. Ha!
Just like the first set, the brackets are heavy duty, powder coated and stamped as to what they are. The hardware is good and all there.
The step themselves are heavy and look pretty damn nice, afaic, especially for the price. The ends are contoured and look great and they look like one continuous piece with no seam.
They fit perfectly, just like the first set, and the instructions are detailed with a ton of assembly photos. The length allows for my Weathertech Front Splash Guards, which fit like a glove, to stay in place.
Laugh if you want, but after a week without them or step tubes my Hella's hinge fronts were beat TF up.
