I did my fender chop mod a while ago using the Rugged Ridge Front Fender Chop Brackets with DRL....say that three times fast;)

I'm always been surprised by how much light output they provide, making them useful on the trail.

Tonight as I was coming out of work, I could really get a sense of how much light they are throwing. This shot is with remote start, so headlights (rings) are not on, just the fender DRL's.

Those fender DRLs look great! Curious what made you choose Rugged Ridge over other options like the DRL's from American Adventure Lab?

For the fender chop decision and which set-up I was going to run came down to wanting to keep the full coverage, lightweight stock fender liners. I live in Chicagoland and my Jeep see's the salty, snowy winters.

On the AAL's most remove the liners as well as the black edge. I really like the black edge trim as I think it completes the look of the fender design overall. It also added a little strength to the fender.

Here's a few pics for reference. This first is typical AAL set-up. Black edge is gone and no fender liner.

Here's a shot of the AAL set-up keeping the stock liner and edge trim...

Here's the Rugged Ridge...

I felt Rugged Ridge did a nice job with the way theirs integrates into the stock black edge. The best part of all of this is we do have a lot great choices when it comes to this mod.

I’ve been wanting to do this mod for a while now, Steven, but didn’t want to replace the factory liners. I’m glad to see this an option. ??
I didn’t see a video on these. Did you fo one?
did you end up regearing as well?

Edit*
Never mind about the gears. I saw your video and 4.88’s.

Hi Mike, good to hear this info helps. I've been super happy with the quality of the Rugged Ridge parts. Powder coat has held up well and as I touched on in the previous post, the light output is really good.

I haven't done an install video, funny you asked as I have all the files for it loaded in my editing software...wasn't anyone would find it interesting? Maybe I should put one together?

The 4.88's have been perfect with my 37's, returning near stock performance levels to Rubi.

you know, if it’s no bother, I would like an install vid. I often use various vids for my installs as a supplement to instructions. Thanks for your vids thus far!
