Updated pic of the Rhino-Rack Vortex SG59. I followed someones' good advice and did the install by putting the 'rear' up front and vice versa...it just fit better that way.

Alright, some details of my build are becoming more clear.

Here's my current thinking for Phase 1 of the build:

- MetalCloak 3.5" Game Changer Lift
- Fuel Covert Beadlocks
- Nitto 37x12.50/17 Ridge Grapplers
- Falcon SP2 3.3 Shocks
- SpeedBumps - Which Brand?
- Steering Stabilizer - Falcon Nexus 2.2 or Fox 2.0 ATS
- Steering Linkage - RPM Steering 2.5 ton
- Artec Full Aluminum Skid System

Hi Ben! I'll be heading to St. George, Utah to have Dixie 4Wheel Drive do the install. I will be creating content for my YouTube channel as we transform the Jeep and get her on some trails in nearby Sand Hollow.

So, that puts my stock suspension/tires/wheels in St. George.

Hey Steven, that's a bummer, I would have bought the wheels and tires as well! At least you got another subscriber out of it haha

I just recently finished doing a custom mod to my Mopar Tailgate Table. The video on that is in 'Equipment Reviews'.

Steven - that looks incredible! Very nice - I am going to buy that table ASAP. Trying to decide to wait and pay $192 or buy it at a local stealership for $225 now.

So did you just hand rout out the table - looks very professional, in Florida in boatmaking they make a product called starboard and it is basically plastic sheeting the thickness of Âľ inch play wood. Neat stuff.

I can handle the table install but not sure on the skills to use a router.

Hey another question - did you look into diesel when you considered your recon? I am having slight regrets that I did not go with diesel, of course you cannot get a recon with a diesel motor.

You have been very helpful to me and I have followed several of your upgrades. Thanks so much for your contributions to the forum!

Hey John, thanks! I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

I found the tailgate table online at BAMwholesaleparts.com for $176. You do have to pay shipping however.

I hand routed the cutting board inlay...tricky to do...a solid guide for the router is your friend. Covering the table with the starboard sounds like it would work well and really simplify things.

No regret on getting the 2.0L e-Torque. It's such a blast to drive, and looking forward to adding more power via a tune down the road. I've never been much of a diesel fan.

Stay tuned, more to come!

I got the AEV diff covers installed. While I was under the Jeep, I refinished the axles.
Jeep Wrangler JL Rubi Recon IMG_0646

We installed the front first. As we pulled the cover for inspection, the oil looked good(only 4400mi.) on it. I asked the tech to look for any metal particles...we saw a pretty good amount of something that looked like metal chips at the bottom against the metallic drain plug.

As we began removing what looked like metal chips/shavings and getting a closer look, it turns out it was rubber or some kind of sealant...time to exhale:facepalm:...it looked for a moment like there might be issues with the gears.

We theorized that it could have come into the diff as the axle shafts were inserted, but who knows. I'm glad the diffs are clean, running fresh oil and beefed up with the AEV covers.

I'm really impressed with the quality and design of these covers.
