I've read a fair amount on rock sliders for my '22 JLURD. I'm thinking about going with the LOD Destroyers.

I need something with a step to help people get in with 37s and lift, but I don't want the step or slider to reduce ground clearance.

I live on a long dirt road - the sliders are going to be constantly pounded with mud and rocks. Would like something with finish that holds up well. It also might be nice if the slider could block some of the rooster tailing I'm getting all over the sides of the Jeep non-stop.

I don't anticipate hard use on the sliders, but they will come in contact with a rock or two here and there. I want them to be strong enough to take it.

Any recommendations? Think the destroyers fit the bill?

Any good holiday sales coming up?

Thanks!

I've had the Destroyers on my 19 JLUR for about 3 years now. They've been great. Strong, well made, and zero signs of rust going into the 3rd winter season. My Jeep has only been washed once in that time.

My wife is only 4'11", so having a dedicated step vs just a tube was needed to help her climb up. My JLUR is lifted 6" and on 40's, so it's a bit of a yoga stretch for her, but it's proven to be the perfect balance between helping her climb without hindering the Jeeps ability to do the same.

For reference, she can walk right under the sideview mirrors without hitting her head...

Looks awesome. Thanks for the advice.

Do they reduce ground clearance over stock at all?

If so, maybe an inch at most. Here's before and after pics, taken at nearly identical angles...

The LODs are awesome, the black finish has stood up to rocks and sand no problem.
The wife and kids can get in easier.

I'm kind of in the same boat, I like the stock sliders but my wife is slightly vertically challanged and wants a step. I like the looks of these, https://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-w...nd=2022-jeep-wrangler-jl-unlimited-4wd-856063

I put on a set of Westin 42-6025 which feature a nice step with integrated rock sliders. They bolt to the frame which is preferable to me.

Go with these https://white-knuckleoffroad.com/. Frame mounted, and you don't have to unbolt any body mounts to install them. I have them on my wrangler and love them. They have taken quite a bit of abuse and the only thing that has happened is some paint being removed from them. They are way better than the LOD in my opinion.
