I have had them for about a week now. I love them. Takes some getting used to.

What takes getting used to? What is it about them? Did you do the install? About how long did it take? Did you wire with their switch or did you wire to an Aux switch if you have them?

Thanks in advance.

When did you order them? and from whom? Thanks in advance.

Bob
Hey Bob, I ordered them from Casey. Everyone there, every time I call has been super friendly and helpful. Could be that they’re local folk at a local business and not like a busy call center somewhere. Casey even threw in a free LED light kit. I personally feel if you’re spending $2k total for the steps and shipping they should kind of include this anyway but I would have been more than happy to spend the $79 for them and I really appreciate him throwing them in for me.

I ordered on 7/23, they should have been here a week or so earlier but i was going on vacation. Len with RSE was even nice enough to hold my steps on their loading dock for an additional week before sending them off because he knew that the freight company would charge me money to store them.

They’re awesome people and from what I hear it’s an awesome product. I can’t wait to get them on.

I’m writing this post from the back of an Uber though, I’m on vacation in Disney in Orlando. Back to my family now

Steve

Them coming down. They come down fast and you just forget they are there the first few days. They also slam up quickly and sounds like someone just hit your car. That’s what I mean.

I used there switch. It is nice and out of the way. I want to keep my aux switches open for other things.

I did the install. Full write up in my build thread. Bottom line, easy install, took me 4 hours but could have been much quicker.

Bottom line you will love them. I have zero regrets and probably wouldn’t buy anything else. Happy wife, happy life and it makes it so much easier for her to get in.

Ordered on 8/4 and they showed up today. Took me 6 hrs to install by myself with hand tools and a floor jack. Would have been quicker with a helper. I had amp power steps on my last pickup and these are very similar in operation. The board is much narrower, but they work fine. As with others I used their switch. It is convenient and out of the way. Wife is happy and that’s what matters most.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but who did you order from?

I have them. Overall, my wife and I like them. I do have an issue with the passenger side though. When it deploys, it makes a loud clank noise initially, then rattles like crazy when it's fully deployed. The driver's side is quiet and smooth. RSE is replacing it via warranty.

Also - the wiring leaves a little to be desired. I have Amp steps on my F150 and it's OBD2 plug and play and works flawlessly. I find it a little odd that I had to run all new door sensors and magnets, etc to get the steps to operate. I don't like how the wires in the door jambs just kind of hang there. It's just not a super clean install (then again, I am OCD lol). Also, on the passenger side, the floor pan plug that they say to use to run the wiring is smaller than the wiring harnesses that are supplied. I ended up having to pull the pins from the harness plug, then feed them through, then reattach to the harness plug. Just an fyi for those who will be doing this on their own.

Quality of the steps themselves seems top notch. They are HEAVY.

Placed my order today with a estimated arrival to me in LA around middle of next week. Feeling kinda shorted because i paid for the LED lights but if they work as described i will be happy. Just hope the first rock I inadvertently hit with them doesn't knock them out of commission. .

It is in my build thread with all the details of the parts needed and where ordered. $12 all in and still going strong.
