Figured i'd post this here, and i know a lot of companies dont talk about future products, but the rock slide engineering JL steps 3rd gen have been on the market i believe for over two years now, and im reluctant to pull the trigger on them at full price (some sits have them for a few hundred off) especially if a 4th gen is around the corner.

Anyone suspect they may release something soon? thanks!

They seem pretty responsive to questions on the phone. I called about wire routing when installing mine. I can’t see why they wouldn’t tell you. Other than that IDK.

Did you ever get any info on a possible gen 4?

Did you try calling?
Nah. Most companies don’t really divulge new future product as it will jeopardize the sales of existing ones anyway so not gonna waste my time. What I do know is the product is well over 3 years old now and I’m not paying $2300 for it, especially if a new one may be around the corner.

And.... For me, if I spent 2300 for high end steps, I'd feel pretty compelled to pay the additional 600 for the additional slider skid plate and 75 for the lighting. All in, just under 3k before tax and shipping. Think I'll keep looking for something more basic.
