Maybe head toward Tennessee to hit the mountains or maybe toward Colorado. Definitely somewhere there are mountains. My wife just told she wants to go white water rafting
The corner of TN/NC/GA is a decent area both for wheeling and mountain sightseeing. As you go NE from there you get into the Smokies and some national forest area.

Hello everyone!! I’m new to the Jeep community. I have a 21’ Rubicon Unlimited. We are starting to meet some fellow jeepers to go trail riding. But my wife and I are wanting to take a week long road trip with each night we stop, we camp. But we want to make it fun while we are driving. Hitting trails or seeing tourist attractions on the way. We’re from Brookhaven, Ms. Does anyone have any ideas for a fun and adventurous road trip.

The further you go away from home, the more un-fun driving you will be doing. East Tennessee, North Alabama, North Georgia all have several great spots which are less than a day away from you and will give you great opportunities for excellent camping, excellent nature views, and excellent trail riding. There are several off-road vehicle parks in the area as well.

Gauley or the New River Gorge, WV. IMO there's nothing like the Gorge.

Country roads take me home, WV.

Very true! Plus we can go white water rafting while we are there.
If she's really into whitewater rafting then check out the Upper Gauley.

If you're both really into Jeeping then you'll eventually want to make it to Moab. Then the Ouray area for the beauty, followed by Pearl Pass (that I did for the first time this weekend).

You can't go wrong with the Great Smoky Mountains! I'm in Memphis; it takes us 7 hours to get there, but because we cross into Eastern time, it's 8 hours by the clock. Plenty of everything you're looking to do! We leave in two weeks for our 30th annual fall trip to the Smokies - can't wait!

That would be great but we’re in Mississippi and I’ll have to do this within 6 days. I appreciate the idea

Not sure if you have explored these options yet, but there are a few not far from your location. Stony Lonesome OHV Park in Alabama is a moderate off road trail to try. Or Hot Springs off road park in Arkansas through Quartz Canyon is not far from you. Bridgeport Texas has an off road park, Northwest OHV park. Also Hidden falls adventure park in Marble falls, TX another nearby option for you. Try downloading the badge of honor Jeep app for more info on some of these.
Those are some really good places and definitely not far from me at all. Can you camp at the places?

If you do make it out to Colorado and river rafting is part of the trip, get on I-70 out of Denver, Idaho Springs has several rafting operations and they are just up the hill from Denver. Further west - towards Moab - there's rafting opportunities in Glenwood Springs. Even further west on I-70 is Green River, UT.

Run up along Lake Michigan in Michigan. Winery's, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, lighthouses, small beach towns begging to be explored. Small mom and pop motels, campgrounds.
