Yet another wrangler owner with broken gorilla glass. After going in for two sets of pictures to submit to Mopar, they finally agreed to replace the glass under warranty. I have made a few mods to my wrangler and have larger tires (37 Nitto) a metal cloak lift, metal cloak steering and under armor as well as fox reservoir shocks.

The dealer has told me they will need to re-calibrate the radar on the rearview mirror Consol to make sure that the cruise control distance tracking works correctly after the new windshield is installed. I am planning on unmarking my tazer for the first time, but wanted to ask if it also needs to be removed from the vehicle physically and the wiring harness' plugged back into the original connectors. Sorry for my ignorance on this, but appreciate your advice and help.

Unless you have abnormally small hands like a nine year old girl, you’ll wish you’d have bought the extension cables because plugging those cables back in is something you’ll only ever want to do once.

Edit:

Officially, the Tazer JL manual states you should unmarry and unplug it before a dealer service. It does not provide any reason why.

Anecdotally, I’ve unmarried mine in the past but always left it plugged in. The dealer service dept. knows it’s there, they know what it is plugged into and therefore what is unplugged.
There hasn’t been an issue. Ever.

Not because of the glass, but because you may have leveled it, and because of the taller tires, it would be best to recalibrate it. Otherwise, I've not just for glass replacement.
If you've seen the process, they do need to plug in a number if the measurement from one point of the frame to the ground varies from stock. .
Any time the height or pitch of the truck changes, it may need calibration.
I've not found it needed just for glass, though. But if they cover it, let 'em. It's no big deal. The connect and drive it. Takes minutes.

Regardless of why your JL/JT enters a dealership service department you always should unmarry the Tazer JL and reconnect the security gateway. Anyone that says overwise is not lets say, Tazer JL savvy.

OK, I don't get the laugh.
We've discussed this for years in other forums. Many of us have had glass replaced without the alignment process being done. Even a glass guy said "not necessary with a Jeep JT or JL" but the cost was covered by insurance (or warranty) so fine.
The collision shop at a Jeep dealership replaced glass - and didn't go through the alignment process. (I could tell by the odometer and other factors - the Jeep hadn't been driven except out to the parking lot)
Never had a problem, had two replaced. The glass is held to very strict specs for clarity, etc.
These are also fairly forgiving. These are not on the glass but mounted on the roll cage, basically like mounting to the frame.

Thanks for the advice. The dealer claims they are required to do a recalibration when glass is replaced. I’ll unmarry the tazer and plug cables back to be safe,

might buy the harness, my hands are not small. That’s may help next time.
