I think if you have a CEL it wont work. Also wont work with less than 1/4 tank of gas.Any ideas why my 2019 Rubicon’s remote start won’t work during cold weather? It always has until recently. Thanks
This. If your jeep is still under the 3/36 warranty, the dealer will replace it.Batteries that are approaching the end of their practical service life sometimes serve as the [invisible] source of a variety of seemingly unrelated electrical issues. Give some thought to replacing the vehicle's battery as a prophylactic measure, doubly so if it's the original one from 2019. The many electronic encumbrances in modern autos place demands on batteries that older vehicles did not.
The chains, like Advance Auto, usually offer free battery load testing, if you want to determine the health of your Wrangler's battery before investing in a new one.
Battery was replaced by dealership last year, when they had it for over 4 months trying to figure out what was wrong with the electric system. You can hear it try to start, but won’t turn over. Temp outside is 20 degrees, windchill -10. Gas tank is full. How cold are you dealing with? Does it give you a message in your instrument cluster on why remote start would be cancelled or not working?
Usually it would not work because of a door being slightly open, or if you tried to remote start the vehicle before, turned it off, and tried to do it again.
Undoubtedly battery(s) related.Tried that, still didn’t work.
I've remote started in much, much colder than that. Does it fire up right away with a normal start?Battery was replaced by dealership last year, when they had it for over 4 months trying to figure out what was wrong with the electric system.
