I had the dealer install the wire harness. Now I’m trying to install a brake controller. Mounting it is easy enough but wiring it is The issue
I found the blue wire going to the plug and of course the hot leg and ground are easy. What I’m struggling with is the wire from the brake switch
been searching sites and was told there is a wire on the passenger footwell that is from the switch. (dealer agrees). Found that wire but I’m not getting voltage to that wire when I step on the brake. Any ideas? Anyone know what fuse feeds it?

You shouldn't. Without seeing exactly what you have, you should have a dead wire that gets voltage from the brake controller that goes back to the trailer plug.

I was curious about that, but that wire comes from the Jeep brake switch and I assume it gives the controller the signal to apply voltage to the plug
is it a very low voltage that my light doesn’t register?

Sorry, thought you were looking for wire feeding the brakes which should be blue. Usually just t tap off the brake light switch but there could be a wire there for it.
