Recommend me a torque wrench

How often do you guys test the calibration on your wrenches?

Lol good question. nobody does. Calibration needs to be performed every year. But for the little use we give them in our garage they stay ballpark good for a few years. If something calls for 150 lbs of torque and you give it 130~170 youre fine.

Cool. I just ask because I spent eight years in Army Aviation. We calibrated our torque wrenches every 90 days. Of course we were constantly using them as well.

Husky comes with a sheet showing what that tool tested at as far as accuracy fwiw. I needed a replacement to my properly used, stored 20+ year old Craftsman.

My only complaint about the Tekton torque wrench is that the lock nut tends to not stay snug. But I’ve had this issue on various brands. If I need to use it on one setting for a number of fasteners I torque the lock nut down a little bit with a screwdriver through the hole.

Same problem here. I have a 1/2 and a 3/4 and both have worked great for a few years. Except that damn lock nut loosens every time.
