@OH-stinggray-IO, I know there is a check-valve for the rear window washer fluid hose that was missing from some 18's. I have read those who don't have it, get fluid on the inside of the rear window.

Thanks Iā€™ll have the dealer check but I think it is just rain water since I tend to notice it when itā€™s raining.

Add me to the list, waiting to hear from dealership on what they will do.
Also does anyone else get water running on the inside of the glass from the top?
I do when itā€™s raining. Almost in top middle. Been that way since I bought it in July. Itā€™s a small dribble. Not enough to go to the bottom of the glass.

Today was the first day since I bought it the windows were completely frosted over. I remote started it while I was getting ready for work but when I went outside all my windows were defrosted except for the back. So then I went into climate hit the rear defroster and it showed it was on. I drove to work about 10 minutes with the defroster light on the dash and under climate. The window was still completely iced over. I guess Iā€™m calling the dealership again tomorrow already called them about the rear defroster cable just hanging there and they just put a new post on it. Sounds like they need to replace the whole setup.

Had mine replaced one week later itā€™s broken again

I landed in the same boat. Here's how the dealer fixed mine. After I get back from Colorado I'm going to have to have a chat with service manager, because this looks terrible (my wife took it in so I didn't see it until it was done). Not an acceptable repair for a brand new JLUR.

I would love to see what @JeepCares has to say about this repair? Any idea if we are going to get a TSB issued so techs at the dealers don't just handyman this stuff?

Does it work? To be honest that looks like a solid repair and one that might not come loose like the previous ones. Looks aside, I would be happy with a more solid approach than a simple re solder or windshield replacement.

Yes it works. I'm trying to decide if I'm ok with it due to the failure of even the replacement windows. I hate that the quality is so bad I have to live with "fixes" like this on such an expensive vehicle. I understand if it's 10 years old, no warranty, etc, etc on my JK, but not on the brand new Rubicon. Already had to have rear seat latch replaced (which involves disassembly of the rear seat). That was also super annoying.

Just noticed mine came off too... I guess my list of issues has gotten large enough that Iā€™ll finally take it in.

- drivers door makes cracking/popping sound when opening/closing
- clutch pedal squeaks and doesnā€™t move smoothly
- defrost connector fell off
- one more Iā€™m forgetting...

Hi Sklosinski,
We deeply regret to hear about your experience. There was a Technical Service Bulletin (08-037-19) that appears to address concerns similar to the rear window defroster troubles that you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this TSB applies, we would like to get you into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. If you need any additional assistance while working with your dealer to reach a resolution, please send our team a private message!

A revised "information only" TSB was just issued covering 2017-2019 JL's ("Rear Window Defroster Inoperable"), TSB 08-037-19, "...inspecting and possibly repairing the terminal of the rear defroster circuit".
