Took mine in this past Friday and they ordered me a new rear window. Waiting on it to arrive and will go back for the repair.

Yep, count me in. Just noticed my defroster cable came off.

Everyone better check their connections and get it repaired early before Jeep runs out of rear glass and you are left without rear defrost for the entire winter.

What is the fix for this? Can Jeep repair the solder joint or does the glass need replacement?

Only fifteen minutes at the service dept., they've ordered a new rear window. They mentioned conductive epoxy as an option but feel a new window is the way to go.

They will replace the window and not solder the connection. They didn't even try to fix it, they looked at it and just ordered new glass.

Just had my window replaced today. Took about 1 hour for the install. Doesn't look like they've made a change, so hopefully it lasts this time.

I had mine replaced under warranty, after install they noticed a huge scratch across the whole glass so they ordered another rear window. The scratched window was in for a few days and the defrost worked great. Now I got a perfect new rear window and the defrost works so little I question if it is even working at all. I drive home 20 minutes in the snow and the defrost lines barely had melted anything.
