I have begun to look at these products and have it down to two, though I’m open to other suggestions.

The first is the Vector storage basket.

The other is the Expedition shelf and cargo shelf. This allows for two shelves at about the same cost as the Vector product.

Anyone using either setup and have any thoughts?

Hey Bob:

These all look like great products and cargo baskets may be your thing: that's perfectly cool.

But before you "pull the trigger" please at least consider where something like the GPCA Cargo cover may be a better option (it may not for you.)

The reason I say this is this heavy duty grade cover can (and secure) carry objects on but, but also easily tuck away if you have to haul something in the cargo area that's too tall fit with a basket installed.

Food for thought.

Thanks Andy.

I think you have an incorrect URL. This appears to be what you are referring to.

I’ll check it out.

One of the good things about the Vector product is that it is secured by wing nuts and can easily be removed. I do have a question about whether or not once it is removed whether it will sit on the floor in the rear. Waiting to hear from them.

I’ve heard back from Vector and the shelf will not sit flat on the floor in the cargo area.

I have the Rugged Ridge. Solid shelf, even has little bonus shelves that make the space outside the rollbars useable.

Thanks. Looking at the specs on their site. If I’m reading the installation instructions correctly, it looks like this bolts to the tub rather than the roll bar. I should have said earlier that I’m looking at units that attach to the roll bar.

Ah, Yes that one does bolt to the tub.

Check out the new EZ4X4 Extreme Trunk. The shelf can hold 150lbs and also lock stuff in the trunk part. When you are not using it, the frame/shelf fold flat on the floor. It is coming out Q1. The Extreme version is the full size where as the regular EZTrunk has a gap between the trunk and the backseat to put stuff like your freedom panels. The smaller size got great reviews here. I have the extreme on preorder.
