Really dumb extended warranty question

Looking at a low mileage 2018 JLR. Purchased in 2019 with almost 27K miles.

Is it still possible to buy an extended factory warranty? Obviously out of bumper to bumper but inside powertrain. I’d like to extend both if possible.

I believe I've heard people on here say that you can extend it so long as it's not expired yet. I get the feeling you'd have to go to a dealership to do that.

Hopefully someone with more exact information can speak up, But I do believe you can't extend it as long as the warranty is still active.

I just reread your initial post, if you're talking about being the second owner of the vehicle, I you want to purchase a 2018 JLR, and you don't already own it, I think you're limited as to what warranties you can get on it.

I know that's how it is for the Subaru we have. We were looking at getting a used one to begin with, but we're told we couldn't get a factory warranty with it or even an extended factory warranty. The individual dealership we were getting it from was offering to sell us a warranty, but it would be one that would only apply to them. Not sure if that's true with Jeeps as well, but definitely true with Subarus.

I would call MOPAR Warranty and ask what they can do for you....

Be careful with factory warrantees. I have a “lifetime, now miliage limitation on a Ram 1/2 ton. Problem is I need work done, has to be at Ram/Dodge dealer and time to get appointment is 2-4 MONTHS!!

Go with non factory extended one that lets you use ANY certified mechanic!

If all else fails start a self-insure fund. Put $X into this fund each payday, month, etc. Dedicate thst fund to repairs and maintenance. Seed that fund with an initial deposit of $X. We did this when our motor home warranty expired. ?

That price isn't crazy. It's still a fairly low mileage Rubicon but you're not getting a extended Mopar warranty for that one. Needs to be 2021 or newer now to get one. I literally just bought mine through Granger earlier this week.
