I bought the 3 piece hard top and wiring harness from the dealer. I got the wiring all in until the last piece, the sccm or multi function switch. The original one has 3 plugs and this one has 1. It plugs into one of the slots on the airbag but I have an airbag light. Assuming we got wrong one The dealer ordered another hardtop wiring harness for me and it also came with a 1 wire multifunction switch. The picture shows 3 like mine and my dealer has never done the swap? I read a few threads on here about it. I read one place mopar is labeling the kits wrong. Any advice? I'd like to get it fixed before programming. I don't think the refresh will fix airbag light. I'll include pics of both multi function switches.

If you have no heated steering wheel it has a different harness also.

That is the harness for the steering wheel airbag. How does a 3 piece hardtop require this?
Just a guess, but being that everything is canbus it all talks to each other in some way. But I don't see the relation with a multifunction switch and the airbag.

It's an entire assembly it has the clock spring on the front of it. I think I might have figured it out I have to swap the clock spring.

Looks like the airbag clockspring and MFS switch are an assembly. Hardtop conversion requires new MFS with rear wiper controls.

Yes I pulled the sccm and swapped the clock spring being careful not to move anything. It's perfect now.
Hello, any problems doing this so far? Also, did you just take to the dealer to have it re-flashed?

It is a b!tch and $$ to install a hard top on a factory soft top Jeep. If you think you will ever want a hard top, buy it from the factory with the top. Good job getting it done, it is expensive and time consuming...

I wouldn’t install the clock spring if the only add was the rear wiper. I can’t even see out my back window with the spare so a clean window isn’t helpful.
