I've done it. It was pretty easy, and pretty cheap (used).It is a b!tch and $$ to install a hard top on a factory soft top Jeep. If you think you will ever want a hard top, buy it from the factory with the top. Good job getting it done, it is expensive and time consuming...
However, I didn't care about the defrost or rear wiper because the soft top doesn't have them. So that saved a fortune. Ran it this way about 6 months and then sold the hard top.
OP good on you for going the distance. I thought dealers were doing this for a few hundred bucks, but I'm sure prices are up.
