ahhhh, the plot thickens..

j/k
I have a Wrangler Rubicon as a project. About two weeks ago, I started buying a lot of parts from ExtremeTerrain (lift kits, bump stops, ball joints, etc.), Teraflex (Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks, fast adjustable steering stabilizer), Adams (drive shafts), Yukon (gear kits), and more. I haven’t had any issues with payment, and everything arrived really quickly.

I have had multiple problems with Quadratec over the years. Them allowing me to order parts they don't have in stock and I have no idea until I call them, which has often been a nightmare. A friend of mine ordered new gears for his TJ and one end of the axles shafts had not been machined properly. Quadratec would not do anything about the problem.

There are other threads about these issues on this forum. I don't buy from Quadratec any longer.

Never had a (unexpected) problem with any 4x4 vendor. Last week I ordered some drop steps from Quadratec and the next day I got a pre-shipping notice. Day later I got the FedEx notification with tracking number and they showed up a day early.

On major or costly items, I do normally check with manufacturer if there will be expected delays. For my RCVs, I checked with RCV PP the item stock, then N4x4 availability, and finally ordered with N4x4 and got it as planned. For my Next Venture flares, I checked with them and saw they were 60-days behind in production. So I ordered them 60-day prior to needing them. MetalCloak advertised a ~30 day delay on their ball joints but took a few weeks longer. They apologized for some delays outside their control and I got some minor free stuff for my patience. I'm an easy going and happy 4x4 shopper. I'm giddy when UPS does show up and the driver knows my first name.

If you have unplanned delays, go four-wheeling to pass the time. If you can't drive it, spend some time on JLWF reading the JEEP HUMOR or "ADMIN, PLEASE DELETE" threads. 🍻

Thanks! Have you ever bought any third party items from them?
No. I NEVER buy third party. I think that may be the real issue. No vendor can be held accountable for another failing to ship. You get what you get buying your party. If you are going to buy this party check to make sure the originator has it in inventory first.

Also, I had to look but Quadratrec is a paid sponsor of this forum and extreme terrain isn't. That may lay some loyalty points in the table.

When I bought my JKUR in 2016 I bought a ton of stuff from Quadratec, and they were amazing. I had stuff arriving within 2 days of ordering, including a full wheel/tire package.

Then, when I bought my JLUR in 2021, I started ordering from them and it was a nightmare. Parts showed in stock, but the second you ordered it went out of stock, it then took hours and hours with the stupid chat to get orders cancelled to stuff they had in stock. It was a nightmare. A real nightmare. Like my worst on-line ordering experience ever.

I gave them multiple chances, and ordered a few more items (gave them the benefit of the doubt, post pandemic and all), and they were hit or miss.

I then switched the big orders to Northridge 4x4 and they were amazing - fast shipping, good communication, no order drama.

It is a shame really. Quadratec has an amazing, well organized web site, installation instructions, good selection. Somehow they just lost their ways.

I really don't know why - off-road equipment orders are at all time highs. They are in an area where it is easy to hire people. Inexplicable.

Thanks for sharing your experience with them, unfortunately, I'm currently dealing with a nightmare situation with Quadratec right now

Totally agree. Its strange. they have huge potential yet they confuse so many people and make things so difficult that they are losing clients day by day
