I just went through the same thing, with dealer replacing various components that were “throwing codes” on my 2021 jlud. I finally convinced them it had to be electrical and shared some threads on this topic. They finally found the short in a wiring harness that was dangling right above the exhaust shield just inside passenger front tire.(Being a diesel, exhaust was called something other than exhaust btw).

Fix required wheel removal, wheel well liner removal, drop exhaust for access. Wires repaired, wrapped in all kinds of heat tape, and rerouted, secured away from heat shield.

Service shifter warning and CEL would occur with increasing frequency during and acceleration. I assume wires would rock back with acceleration and ground, causing codes.

Anyway, hope this helps as I know your frustration! Good news for me is I I can now useJeep as intended.

Following up, my suggestion to dealer was given “service shifter” is message, made sense to me to start at transmission wiring harness and trace it. Took them five minutes to find it after 4 months of dealer visits.

I can, it's a really nice Jeep and I hate to but it's looking like my best option currently.
Unload it. Bad frame welds, loud fan, aux battery lasting only a few months, aluminum steering box, locker sensors going out, etc. are a few reasons why I am happy not to have my 2018 anymore.
